Businesses For College Students – My First Choice

Are there businesses for college students? Businesses that suit the lifestyle and schedule of a university student? Yes, there are, and I can say this with certainty because there are so many students who are already pursuing business ventures while in college. And more importantly than that I can say “Yes” with confidence because I was a student like that until I graduated.

This article will discuss a business option that sits well with university student life. First, lets ask ourselves, of all the possible businesses for college students however, what would the ideal business be? In my opinion, it would be a business that does not require traveling up and down, because students need to attend regular classes and can’t be traveling all over the country-side to make sales.

Another requirement would be little or no capital, because being in university you might not be able to risk hundreds of dollars in a business start-up. Also, a business that does not require working with partners as there is too much coordination required – Time Consuming.

So, in my opinion one of the best businesses for college students would be one that could be done from one place (any place), independently, with little to no capital. My option that satisfied all these criteria was internet affiliate marketing. I was able to do this from my dorm room, with no capital spent and no temperamental partners to depend on.

Affiliate marketing is a simple enough concept. Use the internet to align a consumer and a product of your choice. Align the right consumer with the right product, and if a sale is made, you get paid. AND paid well. Up to 75% commissions.

Like all businesses for college students, there must be some challenge. Yes, there is. You need the right training to become successful at affiliate marketing. A lot of people waste time and get frustrated doing all the wrong things and never make a sale. With the right training however, success is only a little bit of time, and hard work away.

Kyle and Carson were 2 college students who started up “Wealthy Affiliate University”. The best affiliate market training institute online and they have made millions of dollars. So, if you’re the next Kyle, or Carson, the next big entrepreneur, then you should go for it now. Forget all the other businesses for college students. Start here. Once you learn to use the internet as a marketing tool, you will always be a successful businessman. Dream big and don’t give up.

College Application Essays – Five Most Common Mistakes

1. Placing punctuation marks outside of quotation marks. Incorrect: “I did it”, she said. Correct: “I did it,” she said The exception to this rule: when you’re using a colon or a semi-colon.

2. Misusing the word, “however.” Incorrect: “I hate soup. However, I love cake.” Correct: “I hate soup; however, I love cake.” A student will appear as a literary genius if this correct use is always in play.

3. Overusing commas. Incorrect: “Usually, by one o’clock, he’s gone” Correct: “Usually by one o’clock he’s gone.” The incorrect way is writing for the ear because you tend to place a comma where your voice pauses, but you’re writing for the eye. Too many commas act as road bumps to a smooth reading essay. Of course there are exceptions to this rule, but you’re safe (and appear as a literary genius) if you use less commas. Use them when you’re listing something in the same sentence, or you’re connecting two separate thoughts.

4. Capitalizing the first word after a colon. Incorrect: “This was evidence: He found it.” Correct: “This was evidence: he found it.” A colon is simply a break in the same sentence. That means you cannot capitalize a word in the middle of the same sentence. Many professional writers make this same mistake.

5. My most irritating favorite is using this two-word combination: “For me…” Never use these two words together for the rest of your natural life.

Not making these writing mistakes will make you look like a genius for the rest of your life. I exaggerate, of course. But avoiding these mistakes will gain you much respect in a rapd-fire communications world.
